The LYANNAJ album is currently on the Nominating Ballot for the GRAMMY Awards. Noted Jazz Critic Neil Tesser wrote, "The impressive LYANNAJ heralds a Chicago artist of unusual depth and world-class promise". Likewise, the Japanese music website, Samurai-Latino listed the LYANNAJ album as #17 among its top 20 CDs 2009 year: "Her generous singing voice is large-hearted as a... vital force in the earth. It overflows with the feeling of the blooming of a large flower".
